The day I left the Boy Scouts, I knew this day would come.  The National Leader of the BSA just announced he would no longer enforce the ban on gays.
I wish the BSA well, I enjoyed my 27 years as an adult leader, over 15 of which was Scoutmaster. Since I still subscribe to the Scout law and Oath, I had to leave.  You cannot be Reverent and Morally Straight and be gay at the same time.  Also, it would be hard to have a Duty to God, if you don't follow His Word.
This is not a Christian teaching, Jewish, many of the eastern religions and yes Arabic religions teach against homosexuality. The BSA does not define God, but says you must have a duty to God.

I had to edit this Blog, because my grandson is now in Cub Scouts and my son asked if I would help his Pack. This does not change my view of the BSA and since then their stand has got worse.  I do not believe the direction the BSA is headed is what Baden Powell had in mind.

At any point, I am now my grandson's Den leader and will only be working with his Pack.
